French metal/southern-rock band Churchill released their debut full-length album, Ravage, a few weeks ago digitally on various music outlets. A physical release of the album became available to purchase soon after. As the vision of their musical journey began to take off, they disclosed their official music video for their first single, which is the title track of the album. Its video was so incredibly shot by Eyes and Pix Productions, giving you a bold look into Churchill’s live band sanctuary; intermingling a very important storyline that emerges as the video moves forward. It has a film like quality that even ends with credits, listing Churchill as the producers.
Churchill congregated in 2010, formed by ex-band members of many French metal bands including Ghost Orchid and Switch Off. They concocted a sound with a pinch of smokin’ ingredients like savory alternative rock, spicy metal, zesty punk, mixed with good old fashioned, down home southern-rock. If you looked deep into their new music video you will also see that they are ingrained into the street, skate board culture that is a huge part of their musical identity.
Engaging live performances at Treil Open Air, Briz Glace, Mosaik and many more gave Churchill the gusto to record their first self-titled EP in 2011. They soon began making a stronger name for themselves as they played all over the French territory in 2015. This motivated them to initiate the writing process for Ravage. Ravage is still available for purchase in physical form right here and iTunes. Ravage is available on Deezer, Google Play, and Spotify, as well.
